The following activities are organised by ICF Wageningen on a regular basis. However this list is far from complete. There are aslo many activities organized on an ad-hoc basis. Register with us via the contact page and you will be kept up to date on all current activities.
- Connect Groups
- Host families
- Prayer meetings
- Alpha Courses
- LIFE events
Connect groups are the heart beat of ICF. This is where we share our joys and sorrows, this is where the Word of God is opened up and where we pray together. Please join us! Everybody is welcome, you don’t need to be a Christian. You may drop in on any Connect group you like. Usually these groups meet on either Wednesdays or Thursdays. While most of the groups meet in Wageningen there are also groups in Bennekom and Ede. You should be able to find one convenient to your schedule and location. Further there is a Chinese language bible study meeting every Friday and an Indonesian bible study group.
For more information on times and locations check the website or contact the bible study coordinator.
Even though we are a very international community, we also have a number of Dutch families who love to welcome newcomers to the Netherlands. Would you like to learn something of Dutch culture, enjoy a Dutch meal and experience Dutch hospitality? We welcome you to sign up to be invited by one of our host families.
Interested? Contact the host family coordinator.
‘The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’ (Phil 4: 6). On the first and third Sundays of the month we celebrate this truth meeting together after the church service. You are very welcome!
For more information, contact the prayer meeting coordinator.
What is Christianity all about? Who is Jesus Christ and why is he important? Can the Bible be trusted and is it at all relevant to life in the 21st century? All these kinds of questions are handled openly and honestly in an Alpha Course. Over the course of 7-8 weeks we handle a number of topics related to Christianity in a relaxed setting of open discussion and sharing a meal together. These courses are held generally about twice a year. We will always let you know when a new course is beginning.
Approximately once every two weeks on Sunday evenings, ICF, together with the Christian student associations organize LIFE events. These are fun activities where we will play sports, have a potluck meal or have a theme evening putting one of our many cultures in the spotlight. Our goal is to bring the Dutch and international students together, encourage new friendships and provide a place where people can bring friends from any faith background… so that we can also build good relationships with those who do not yet know Christ.
