we would like to invite you to ICF Sunday service.

It will be tomorrow 20 May.

The preacher J.A. van der Velden and will give a sermon about “the place of the Jewish people in the missionplan of Gods salvation in Jesus Christ to the gentiles“.

Venue: Costerweg 75, Wageningen

Time: 10h30-12h00

There wil be coffee and tea at the end of the service.

Dutch Course – Monday 21st of May

Hoi allemaal,

Coming Monday, the 21st of May, there will be another Dutch Class. There is now a new Beginners group, a Medium group (the beginners of last series) and an Intermediate group.

Location is: the Leeuwenborch, Hollandseweg 1, in room C71 (Ground floor).

Time is 19.30-21.30.

The lessons for the new beginners group will cover the topic: “saying how do you do and asking how others are doing”. We will also look at the grammar: ” new nouns, adjectives, and to tell the time.”

The lesson for the medium and intermediates group will be about: shopping! In the supermarket, on the market, in the elektronics shop, at the hairdresser: what are the common things to say there? If you would like to join, then bring your own examples of that you would like to ask for or to say in these shops!

Please note that there won’t be class on Thursdays anymore. All classes will take place on Mondays. So if you are interested in these topics and you want to join, be very welcome coming Monday!

‘Flowers for Souls’ Reachout

Living at Haarweg in Wageningen: cold and lonely or enjoyable and warm?
Realising that our presence as Christians can and should make a difference,
we’d like to:

Demonstrate the love of Christ to Haarweg inhabitants

How?

knocking doors in teams of two or three people
offer a flower and a ‘home-designed’ postcard with contact data and information about the Bible studie and Scripture text (1 Peter 5:7)
share more if people want to know “Who is this ‘He’ whom we should cast our anxieties upon?”
if not, just bless and go on.

When?

Sunday 20^th may – ‘containers’

13:30 – 15:30 (outreach: 14:00 – 15:00)

Monday 21th may – old Haarweg
Venue: Haarweg 161 room 31
19:00 – 21:00 (outreach: 7:30 – 8:30)

Haarweg BS – Movie night

In the book of Romans, Paul stated: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

SOUL SURFER is the inspiring true story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack and courageously overcame all odds to become a champion again.

Moving from ‘Romans’ to ‘Acts’, we hope to watch this movie with the entire Haarweg Bible study group, both of the ‘old’ Haarweg and the containers.

During this service, the preacher will be Niek Stam and will give a sermon about rejoicing in everything.

He will use the epistle of 1 Thessalonians 5:12-25 to support this sermon.

The lessons for the new beginners group will cover the topic: “saying hello and goodbye, asking where others come from or how they are doing”. We will also look at the grammar: “personal pronouns, the verbs ‘to be and to have’, new nouns and adjectives.”

The lesson for the medium and intermediates group will be about: phoning. How do you make an appointment on the phone or how to cancel one? And how could you invite someone to go with you to the cinema’s?

Please note that there won’t be class on Thursdays anymore. All classes will take place on Mondays. So if you are interested in these topics and you want to join, be very welcome coming Monday!

Haarweg BS – Care

Now we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves (Romans 15:1)

The Haarweg Bible study groups are concluding their study on Paul’s letter to the Romans. Does our faith allow us to be helpers rather then pleasers of ourselves?
Both groups will study the same topic.
